In the name of God Amen, I Frederick Fulkerson of Patrick County and State of Virginia Planter being very sick and weak in imperfect health of body but of perfect mind and memory, thanks be given unto god calling unto mind the mortality of my body, and knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die, so make and ordain this my last Will and Testament, that is to say,

Principally and first of all. I give and recommend my soul unto the hands of almighty god that gave it and my body I recommend to the Earth to be buried in decent Christian burial at the discretion of my Executors nothing doubting but at the General resurrection, I shall receive the same again by the mighty power of god. And as touching such Worldly Estate wherewith it has pleased god to bless me with in this life I give demise and dispose of the same in the following manner and form..

  First I give and bequeath to Milly my dearly beloved wife two Negro Fellows Tom & Natt, two Negro Women Nance and Seel, Three Negro Children - Jenny, Phillis, & Vilot; likewise four mares and four Horses, Twenty three head of Cattle, all the Hogs & Sheep, [and] all the goods and Chattels now in my possession, during her life, and at her death my desire is that my Estate shall be divided amongst my four children in the following manner and form.

  First I give and bequeath to my beloved son James Fulkerson a Negro Fellow Natt. and Sells [Seels] child that she is now big with. if the child should die the value of such a Child to ___ him out of my Estate The fourth of all the Cattle - only deducton one that he has had, and the fourth Part of all the Horse kind, one feather bed and furniture, and all my Blacksmiths tools and my big Dutch Bible--

  Secondly I give and bequeath my loving Daughter Milly Fulkerson a negro Girl Jenny and a Negro Woman Seel, two feather Beds and furniture, the fourth Part of all the Cattle, half the Pewter, one eight Gallon Pott, the fourth Part of all the Horse kind - but one to be deducted of for the one that she now owns known by the name Rusty, with a Bridle and Saddle, likewise my plantation I now live on.

  Thirdly my desire is that my beloved Daughter Debby Thomas shall have a Negro Fellow Tom and a Negro Girl Vilot, and the fourth Part of all the Cattle - but four is to be deducted of that she has already received, & the fourth Part of the Horse Kind - deducton one she has already got--

  Fourthly, I give and bequeath to my beloved Daughter Mary Hill one Negro Woman Nance and a Negro Girl Phillis, one feather Bed & furniture, the fourth part of the Cattle - only deducton two that she has already got, the half of the Pewter, and one ten Gallon Pott, the fourth Part of all the Horse kind - only deducton one that she has already got.

  And so hereby utterly disallow revoke and disannul all and every other former Testaments, wills, Legacees, bequests, and Executors by me in any wise before named willed and bequeathed, ratifying and Confirming this and no other to be my last Will and Testament. In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this Twenty Second day Feb In the year of our Lord one thousand seven Hundred and ninety three

The within last Will and Testament of Frederick Fulkerson decd was proved in court by the oath of one of the witnesses hereto to be the act and Deed of the sd Frederick Fulkerson and the same was ordered to be Certified, and afterwards to Wit at June Court 1795. The same was further proved by the oath of one other witness thereto and the same was ordered to be recorded
